About the World Blindness Summit

• When and where will the event be?

  The event will take place from September 1st to 5th, 2025.

  Location: Distrito Anhembi Convention Center, located at Rua Prof. Milton Rodrigues, Santana, São Paulo – ZIP 02012-021.

  Congress: Celso Furtado Auditorium and support rooms.
  General Assembly: Celso Furtado Auditorium.
  Assistive Technology Fair: Hall 4.
  Gala Dinner: Our gala evening celebration is the only one held at a separate venue outside the Convention Center. It will take place at Hotel Unique – Av. Brigadeiro Luís Antônio, 4700, Jardim Paulista, São Paulo – ZIP 01402-002.

  Accommodation: We suggest the Holiday Inn Anhembi Hotel, located next to the Distrito Anhembi Convention Center.
  The rooms previously reserved by the organization are already sold out, but you can still secure your stay at an exclusive rate by using the booking code: World Blind Union at the time of reservation.

  WBU Delegates, accessibility experts, professionals in the field of visual impairment, researchers, sponsors and observers will be able to participate in the event.

• Open House - Visit to Laramara

  On September 1st (Monday), we will be opening a special space for participants of the 11th World Meeting on Visual Disability who wish to get to know Laramara – Brazilian Association for Assistance to the Visually Impaired. It will be an opportunity to visit our space, learn about our work, and exchange experiences.
